Henriette Thiim – For the love of wheels

In 2020 in the middle of the pandemic, Henriette took off on her Honda CRF250L on what was supposed to be a one-year solo ride from North Cape to South Africa and back. But nothing went as planned. She got stuck in Morocco for six months and had to change her route repeatedly as borders closed and rules for entry were constantly changed. The adventure grew, and before she knew it, she had spent 3 years riding her Honda CRF250L 100.000 km on three continents through 45 countries including Saudi Arabia and Iraq.

Henriette talks about camping with elephants, being stuck in the mud in South Africa and the darker moments, and about dealing with Malaria in Tanzania. She also talks about her motivation for traveling alone, dealing with fears, fixing her bike in the middle of nowhere, and why she loves life on the road in foreign countries.
